A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/4 inches (3.18 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned:  Gules, an antiaircraft - antitank gun bendwise Or, in chief a flash in similar position of the last.

The antiaircraft antitank gun is symbolic of the functions of the organization, while the flash represents the speed with which its duties are performed.


Background

The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 9 January 1943.  It was amended to change the description on 27 February 1943.
